This was reported by the Latvian portal LSM.
It is known that the fundraising campaign started on August 16 on the Ziedot.lv portal, and more than 15,000 people have already participated in the campaign.
As of the morning of August 21, EUR 536,304 have been collected, and EUR 4.5 million are needed to buy one drone.
The head of the charity organization Ziedot.lv, Ruta Dymanta, urged more people to contribute - the donation does not necessarily have to be large.
"There are relatively many of us. The working population is about 700-800 thousand. If everyone donates 5-10 euros, we will quickly be able to achieve the planned goal", she said.
