Bahrain's FM arrives in Ukraine on first visit, meets with Zelenskyy
On May 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani
The Ukrainian president's press service reported this.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this was the first visit of the Bahraini foreign minister to Ukraine since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in July 1992.
The president thanked the Kingdom of Bahrain for its unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine amid the full-scale Russian aggression, which was repeatedly demonstrated in the course of voting for the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Bahrain to take part in the relevant diplomatic process, in particular, to join the implementation of certain points of the formula and participate in the upcoming Peace Summit.
The president drew the Bahraini foreign minister's attention to the problem of forced deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia and the search for ways to return them to their homeland and families. The parties also exchanged views on the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, as well as on the involvement in promising projects of cooperation in the humanitarian and economic spheres.
