Austria has announced that it will not train the Ukrainian servicemen on Leopard 2 tanks due to the policy of neutrality, which the country plans to adhere to in the future

This was stated by the country's Defense Minister, Klaudia Tanner, Kurier reports.
"It was a sovereign decision of each state to support Ukraine within the framework of its laws," the statement said.
In addition, foreign soldiers are already training on Austrian Leopard 2 tanks, in particular, from NATO countries Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Austria emphasizes its policy of neutrality. At the same time, the outlet notes, neutral Ireland is training Ukrainian military in demining, and Switzerland is discussing permission to re-export its weapons.
Austria has a single tank battalion based in Wales. It has 48 Leopard 2 battle tanks.
