Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean commented on Putin's decree on a simplified procedure for granting citizenship to residents of Moldova

Recean made the statement on TV8.
He said that he sees Putin's decree as an attempt to recruit cannon fodder for the brutal and incomprehensible war that Russia has launched in neighboring Ukraine.
"I would like to ask citizens not to resort to this," he added.
The prime minister emphasized that 150,000 to 200,000 Moldovans are currently in Russia.

On December 18, Russian leader Vladimir Putin signed a decree to simplify the acquisition of Russian citizenship for citizens of Belarus, Moldova and Kazakhstan.
