The Washington Post wrote this.
A representative of the Ukrainian government, on the condition of anonymity, stated that the attack on the Russian air base in occupied Crimea was the work of Ukrainian special forces. The official did not disclose details of how exactly the attack was launched.
The information that the strike in Novofedorivka was probably launched by Ukraine was also confirmed by a source in the US government. An anonymous interlocutor noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not use the weapons they received from the US.
The Washington Post believes that this attack demonstrated the ability of the Ukrainian military to strike further into Russia's rear than previously was thought.
