This was stated by the representative of Gazprom Serhiy Kupriyanov, speaking via video link at a meeting of the UN Security Council, RBC informs.
For comparison, he said, Denmark consumes about that much in three months.
At the time of the incident, gas was not being transported through the pipelines "for various reasons", but they were both ready for work, Kupriyanov said.
According to the representative of Gazprom, the tightness of the gas pipelines was broken due to physical damage, as evidenced by a sharp drop in pressure and a gas leak.
On the night of Monday, September 26, a sudden drop in pressure occurred in the "North Stream - 2" gas pipeline.
