Ammunition warehouse detonates in occupied Zaporizhzhia region
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, has said that on Saturday, August 26, in the evening, an ammunition depot was detonated in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region
He stated this during the telethon.
“The enemy has faced challenging days recently in the Melitopol direction, particularly after our brave soldiers raised the Ukrainian flag over Robotyne,” highlighted the Melitopol mayor.
Fedorov stated that enemy forces are still being dealt with in the city of Tokmak. In just the past two days, there have been at least 5 explosions there, along with several loud sounds resembling thunder in the outskirts of Melitopol.
“This culminated in the detonation of an enemy ammunition depot set up between Tokmak and Molochansk last night. Summing up the past week, the enemy remains unsettled in the Melitopol direction,” the mayor added.
He also stressed that despite six months of occupation, Ukrainians are steadfastly resisting the Russians. Notably, Ukrainian flags were displayed in Berdyansk on Independence Day, and messages like "Glory to Ukraine'' were painted on some fences in Mykhailivka.
