Ammunition, armored and medical vehicles and tractors: Germany announces new package of military aid to Ukraine
It includes supplies from Bundeswehr stocks and from German industry financed by the so-called Ertüchtigungshilfe of the federal government

This is stated on the website of the German government.
"As part of the 2022 budget procedure, funds for strengthening the initiative have been increased to a total amount of more than 2 billion euros for 2022. The additional funds are primarily intended to support Ukraine. At the same time, they will be used to finance increased mandatory German contributions to the European Peace Fund (EPF ), which, in turn, can be used to reimburse the costs of EU member states for auxiliary services to Ukraine," the message states.
The list of new weapons includes:
- Rockets for IRIS-T;
- 2 more Bergepanzer 2 armored vehicles (previously there were 10);
- 30,000 bullets for 40-mm grenade launcher;
- 5 thousand shells of 155 mm caliber artillery ammunition;
- 4 ambulances;
- 18 8x8 trucks with a changeable body system.
The government added that the total value of individual military equipment export licenses issued by the Federal Government between January 1, 2022 and December 12, 2022 is €2,152,150,055.
- On December 14, Germany said it wouldl allocate €50 million for winter aid to Ukraine.
- And the leader of the German opposition, Friedrich Mertz, called on the government to hand over battle tanks and armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
