Allies should put more pressure on Germany to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine - MEP von Cramon

The German politician is convinced that the West must do everything to help Ukraine liberate all its territories, that's why it needs Leopard tanks, “the only technology that can provide this.”

“I think we all know that we are at a critical point. It's not time to look for excuses why things can not be delivered and why Ukraine can not be provided with a particular technology. It is a good opportunity and an important period that everyone understands what is at stake. And of course, it's up to Germany to finally release the technology, the Western Leopard tanks, which are critical for Ukraine's potential victory. And I think that people in Berlin, our government and the chancellor know exactly what is at stake,” she said.

Viola von Cramon believes that the allies, in particular the US, should put more pressure on Germany regarding the supply of Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, we also have to say that neither the Polish, nor the Finish, nor the Spanish, nor any other government has sent a written request to the government (German - ed.). So there's nothing we could reply to. That's why this is so important,” the MEP concluded.
