All units of "law enforcement agencies" in Russian-occupied Donetsk region will start operating under Russian law on March 1, 2023

This was announced on February 25 in a report by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In this regard, the dismissal of soldiers of the 1st Army Corps (Horlivka), who have reached the end of their military service, was announced.

In particular, on the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Russian troops are reportedly increasing pressure on the civilian population and conducting searches of homes. In the town of Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces have set up a torture chamber where pro-Ukrainian citizens are being detained.

During the day, Russian troops have launched 6 missile and 5 air strikes

"The enemy launched 6 missile and 5 air strikes over the last day. They also launched about 10 MLRS attacks. Localities and civilians suffered. There is a danger of further Russian missile strikes across Ukraine," the statement said.

The northern and northeastern border with Belarus and Russia: 4 settlements in the Sumy region and 4 more in the Kharkiv region were shelled. Russian troops launched air strikes near Veterynarne and Rubizhne towns.

Kupiansk and Lyman directions: Russian troops fired artillery at 6 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 4 in the Luhansk region. Russian air strikes were registered near Hryanykivka and Spirne.

Bakhmut direction: 18 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire. 

Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions: Russian troops fired artillery at t8 settlements in the Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhia direction: Russian troops shelled 12 settlements of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia  and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Kherson direction: Novoberyslav, Kherson region, and the city of Kherson suffered from Russian artillery fire.

Over the last day, Ukrainian aviation launched 4 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and military equipment

Over the last day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched 4 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and military equipment.

"Missile and artillery units hit 2 enemy manpower concentrations, a radar station and an electronic warfare station during the day," the statement said.
