Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces shoot down 2 Kh-59 missiles, 18 Shahed drones
On the night of November 1, the Russian forces launched strike UAVs on Ukrainian territory. The Air Force destroyed two Kh-59 guided missiles over the Odesa region in the morning and 18 drones at night
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.
"On November 01, 2023, the anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Odesa South Air Command destroyed 2 Kh-59 guided missiles over the sea, which were fired from Russian tactical aircraft and directed towards the Odesa region," the statement reads.
Earlier, the Air Force press service reported the destruction of 18 of the 20 Shahed drones that Russia launched into Ukraine.
The missile and part of the Shahed drones were launched from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, while the rest of the UAVs were launched from the southeast - the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
"Air raid alert was declared in most regions of Ukraine during the night attack. The strike drones were destroyed along their route by tactical aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, as well as by mobile firing groups of the Air Force together with the air defense. In total, 18 out of 20 Shahed-136/131 strike drones were shot down. An Kh-59 guided missile was also destroyed," the statement reads.

On the evening of Tuesday, October 31, Russian forces launched strike UAVs on the territory of Ukraine. One of the drones hit an oil refinery in Kremenchuk.
