Zelenskyy: Ukraine, U.S. working out details of defense aid, including air defense systems

The president stated this in his evening address.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that at present, all aspects of defense support deliveries, including air defense elements, are being coordinated at the working level between Ukraine and the United States.

“Today, there were also reports from Ukraine’s defense and foreign ministers, in particular regarding relations with the United States of America. At the working level, all details concerning defense support supplies, including air defense components, are now being clarified between Ukraine and the U.S. One way or another, we must ensure protection for our people,” he said.

On July 2, media outlets reported that the United States had suspended the supply of certain anti-aircraft missiles and precision munitions to Ukraine over concerns about its own military stockpiles. 

So far, Ukraine has not received official confirmation from the U.S. regarding the suspension of air defense missile or other munitions deliveries.
