U.S. approves potential $330 million aid package sale to Ukraine
On Thursday, July 24, the U.S. State Department approved the potential sale of $180 million worth of air defense equipment to Ukraine and $150 million worth of maintenance supplies and equipment for M109 self-propelled howitzers

The State Department has decided to approve a potential sale to Ukraine of defense equipment and related support equipment for air defense worth about $180 million.
The sale includes equipment and services to support training, maintenance, and upgrades of existing U.S.-made air defense systems. The aid package will include:
- major repairs and technical maintenance;
- spare parts, consumables, components, repair, and equipment return;
- personnel training and training equipment;
- engineering, technical, and logistical services from the U.S. government and contractors;
- other related elements of logistical and program support.
In addition, the U.S. State Department approved the potential sale of foreign military equipment to Ukraine, namely maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for M109 self-propelled howitzers and related equipment, with a total value of approximately $150 million.
Congress was informed that the Defense Security Cooperation Agency had provided the necessary certification.
