U.S. aid halt to Ukraine hasn’t impacted Kursk front, Zelenskyy claims
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has denied that the suspension of American military aid affected the situation on the Kursk front
He said this in an interview with Time.
Despite a recent pause in U.S. military support and intelligence sharing, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the freeze did not contribute to setbacks faced by Ukrainian forces in Russia’s Kursk region. The timing of the American aid halt had coincided with rapid Russian advances in the area, raising questions about a possible connection.
Zelenskyy dismissed the notion that the aid freeze was responsible for the deteriorating situation on the ground. He acknowledged the importance of international partnerships for morale but rejected any direct link between the U.S. decision and the Ukrainian military’s performance in Kursk.
The president also refuted claims that Ukrainian troops had been surrounded in the region, labeling such reports as misinformation.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that American officials have begun to “take Putin at his word,” and that Russia has succeeded in influencing some people on the White House team.
