Ukrainian pilots rapidly master Mirage fighter jets — Air Force

Yuriy Ihnat, the head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, stated this on Espreso TV.

"As we have repeatedly said, together with the F-16, the Mirage is quite a good interceptor aircraft, which works well in the sky both against missiles and against 'Shaheds.' There was even a photo report from a pilot; we made such concessions for the French side, for the public, to show how the Mirage shot down a cruise missile. That was about six months ago," he said.

According to him, this is what they continue to do now.

"Our pilots quickly, very quickly, mastered the Mirage, just like the F-16 pilots. And almost every night, when there is a massive attack with Russian cruise missiles and 'Shaheds' in one zone or another, by decision of the military leadership, Western-type fighters—Mirage and F-16—are involved. They are not very new; these are older modifications. But whatever we could get, we use it as effectively as possible, when weather conditions and the situation allow," Ihnat summarized.
