Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced this at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The package will include €300 million for the purchase of weapons. Another €100 million will go to the PURL initiative — the procurement of American weapons for Ukraine.

Spain will also allocate €215 million through the European SAFE program, which will finance the purchase of anti-drone products and radars.

"Along with this €615 million package, I also informed Zelenskyy that starting today, our country will introduce a new financial aid instrument of €200 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine," Sánchez added.

This instrument will be coordinated by the Office for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will help modernize infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in turn, clarified that the aid package from Spain will include, among other things, 40 missiles for IRIS-T air defense systems.
