Lithuania and Sweden to provide €22 million for pickups, trucks for Ukraine
Member states of the Demining Capabilities Coalition have agreed to purchase €22 million worth of pickup trucks and trucks for the State Special Transport Service and the Armed Forces Support Command
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry reports.
The decision to purchase pickups and trucks worth 22 million euros was made at a meeting of the Coalition partners held in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik: Lithuania will allocate €15 million and Sweden €7 million.
Also during the meeting, representatives of the Coalition member states, together with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Command of the AFU Support Forces, discussed further plans for the activities.
In particular, the participants discussed the list of procurement for ongoing humanitarian and combat demining, as well as the draft Roadmap for the development of the capabilities of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period up to the year 2034.
