Lithuania allocates €5mln to rebuild Ukrainian schools and kindergartens
Finance Minister Gintare Skaiste says that Lithuania is allocating €5 million to support the reconstruction of schools and kindergartens in Ukraine
This is reported by LRT.
It is noted that as the US support for Ukraine is being disrupted, the European Union cannot delay and must provide military and financial support to Ukraine.
"This week, Lithuania announced that it would contribute to the Czech initiative by jointly purchasing ammunition for the Ukrainian military, and we also announced the allocation of €5 million for the reconstruction and adaptation of destroyed schools and kindergartens in Ukraine by installing shelters," Skaiste said.
During his visit to Ukraine, the minister visited a kindergarten in Irpin that was rebuilt with Lithuanian money. It is equipped with shelters that meet safety requirements.
- On March 7, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence announced that it had sent another package of military aid to Ukraine, which included 155 mm artillery ammunition.
