The Telegraph reported the information.
The outlet noted that after U.S. President Donald Trump announced $10 billion in aid for Ukraine and threatened to impose tough trade tariffs on Russia and countries buying its energy, a new Patriot system arrived in Ukraine by the end of that week.
The authors pointed out that the Pentagon and the White House used this move to persuade European countries to risk sending their existing Patriot stocks to Kyiv, expecting the U.S. to replenish them.
However, The Telegraph notes that this is a difficult task for some countries, as their Patriots will not be replaced until early next year.
- Earlier this week, the United States and Germany agreed to provide Ukraine with five Patriot air defense systems, which were reported to be delivered as soon as possible.
