Draft law on US aid to Ukraine: Johnson gives ultimatums
Everything goes to a conclusion with US aid to Ukraine
A bill from House Speaker Mike Johnson has finally been published. The document provides for more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine, some of which may be in the form of loans.
At first glance, the bill seems to be normal. But there is something that bothers me.
There are too many caveats. There are too many conditions and requirements for President Biden. And one of them - the immediate transfer of Atacms long-range missiles - sounds almost like an ultimatum. And who likes ultimatums?
In addition, some Republicans have until Saturday to make amendments so that the bill could undergo significant changes. And two representatives of his own party have already promised to "deal with Johnson."
So, thumbs up. But let's also imagine parallel (positive) scenarios. They still exist.
