British instructors train Ukrainian soldiers to fight in populated areas
The British military is training Ukrainian servicemen to fight in urbanized areas
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reports.
It is noted that the UK military is teaching Ukrainian soldiers how to behave properly during battles in populated areas, including patrolling, moving in urban areas, the basic principles of approaching a building, entering a building, seizing stairs, rooms, premises, buildings, separating and weakening enemy forces, and safely clearing and holding a building.
"In an urban environment, it is not easy to approach a building and clear it. The military must simultaneously control the entire area around them and focus on all possible threats. All movements must be controlled, aimed, focused and professional. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast! Slow but correct actions allow you to achieve greater efficiency," says the British instructor.
At the same time, the message emphasizes that communication during combat is no less important - those moving in front must pass information back so that the entire group is aware of the situation.
"If you want to retake your towns and villages, you need to know and be able to do it right. Your correct actions will minimize the enemy's chances of success," the instructor emphasized.
