AFU eliminate 10 Russian soldiers and equipment on Kinburn Spit, Mykolaiv region
On January 18, on the Kinburn Spit, Mykolaiv region, the Defense Forces targeted about 10 Russian soldiers and Russian equipment
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, told about this during a telethon.
"We continue targeting the positions that the Russian enemy occupies there from time to time to attack the Ochakiv area. Our work is quite effective and over the past day we have destroyed vehicles and up to 10 enemies. This means that they have no peace there, and our work is effective," said Humeniuk.
At the same time, on January 18, Russian forces fired from the spit at the government-controlled territories.
"As long as they have a land access corridor, they can replace the forces we are destroying. That is, they can come from the left-bank Kherson region to the spit and strike from there, as they do in the Ochakiv community and Kutsurubska community from time to time."
Yesterday, as a result of shelling from multiple launch rocket systems, including the use of incendiary ammunition prohibited by the Geneva Convention, houses in the Ochakiv community were damaged.
Today, the Kinburn Spit remains the only territory in the Mykolaiv region occupied by Russian soldiers.
