AFU destroy Russian Su-25 aircraft, S-300 system, Orlan-10 drone

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this in their regular update. 

Also, Ukrainian artillery hit 3 control points, 3 areas of the enemy's manpower and military equipment, and 3 munitions depots. 

In addition, during the day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' aviation launched 15 strikes on Russian military positions, as well as 5 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

The Russian forces are conducting mobilization in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region 

It is noted that in order to replenish the losses in manpower, in the city of Alchevsk, Luhansk region, on January 9, the Russian forces began another wave of mobilization.

In addition, the occupying forces continue to rob the local population in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. In one of the settlements of the Kakhovka district, the Russian-installed authorities announced an inventory of movable and immovable property of local private entrepreneurs, with subsequent so-called nationalization.

During the day, invading Russian forces launched 5 missile strikes, 12 airstrikes, and 4 MLRS attacks

The General Staff reports that the Russian enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to capture the Donetsk region within the administrative border, and continues to advance in the Bakhmut direction. 

It is noted that the fiercest fighting continues in the areas of Soledar, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut and Klishchiivka. In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian forces are conducting unsuccessful offensive actions, and in the Kupiansk and Lyman areas - they don't stop trying to improve the tactical position. In the Vuhledar, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, are on the defensive.

On the border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly. In other directions, the situation is as follows:

• In the northeastern Ukrainian border in the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, the areas of Senkivka, Karpovychi, Bachivsk, Strilecha, Zelene, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Chuhunivka, and Ridkodub came under enemy fire.

• In the Kupiansk direction, the areas of Orlianka, Kislivka, Berestove, Ivanivka, Bohuslavka, and Stelmakhivka were shelled.

• In the Lyman direction, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Chervopopivka and Dibrova in the Luhansk region came under artillery fire.

• In the Bakhmut direction of the Donetsk region, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, and Druzhba were damaged by fire.

• In the Avdiivka direction of the Donetsk region, the Russian enemy shelled Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka. 

• In the Vuhledar direction of the Donetsk region, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva came under fire.

• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the invading Russian forces shelled the areas of Vremivka and Vilne Pole settlements in the Donetsk region, and Huliaipole, Chervone, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia direction. 

• In the Kherson direction, the enemy continues shelling populated areas along the right bank of the Dnipro River.  In particular, the suburbs and the city of Kherson were hit by mortar fire.

Acting deputy mayor of Kherson, Roman Holovnia, reported that the invading Russian forces are crossing the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region by boats, and parts of the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups were destroyed.
