AFU destroy Russian Mi-24 helicopter, Lancet drone – General Staff
On Friday, February 24, Ukrainian air defense shot down a Russian Mi-24 helicopter and a Lancet drone
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this in their daily update.
Over the last day, Ukrainian aviation launched 14 strikes on the invading Russian forces' military positions.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed one Mi-24 attack helicopter and one Lancet UAV.
Russia conducts offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions
Over the last day, the Russian forces launched 18 airstrikes. Of these, 4 were with barrage munitions of the Lancet type. The enemy fired over 30 times from multiple launch rocket systems. The threat of missile attacks remains significant across Ukraine.
“Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation remains unchanged, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected,” the General Staff wrote.
At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 4 more in the Sumy region, as well as over 18 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy conducted several unsuccessful offensives. Over 14 settlements came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian forces continue to attack the Ukrainian troops' positions, making several unsuccessful attacks near 3 settlements of the Donetsk region. 15 localities came under fire.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russian enemy attacked over 16 localities of the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, 17 towns and villages were hit.

In the Kherson direction, 27 settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River were affected by artillery fire.
The occupying Russian forces imposed a round-the-clock curfew in the Kherson region
“In Chaplynka, Kherson region, the occupying Russian forces imposed a round-the-clock curfew from February 23 to 25 this year. The reason may be the transfer of military equipment from the temporarily occupied Crimea to strengthen the defense line,” the General Staff wrote.
In Nova Kakhovka, Russians are searching the homes of local residents. In particular, they check the registration and ownership documents for housing. If they are missing, the residents are evicted within a week, and the Russian troops are quartered there.
