AFU aviation launches 13 strikes on Russian concentration areas, air defense shoots down 2 Russian drones – General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in its usual report.

Moreover, Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck 4 concentrations of Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as 2 electronic warfare stations during the day.

Due to heavy losses, Russian troops set up a tent camp for the injured in Kriakivka, Luhansk region

The General Staff says that Russian troops use medical facilities of the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, Russian troops are using the building of the primary health care center in Novopskov and the paramedic and obstetric station in Kriakivka, Luhansk region, as a military hospital.

"In Kriakivka, in order to increase the number of beds, the invaders have additionally set up a tent camp. Only occupying Russian forces are treated in these civilian medical facilities," the statement said.

During the day, Russian forces have launched 1 missile and 10 air strikes on Ukraine

They also launched over 18 MLRS attacks.

Despite numerous losses in equipment and manpower, Russian troops are attacking in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions – over 50 attacks have been repelled over the past day. 

The situation on the northern and northeastern border with Belarus and Russia remained unchanged. Russian forces keep certain units in the Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine and fortify the area with engineering equipment.

During the day, Russian troops fired on 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 2 in the Sumy region and 11 in the Kharkiv region.

The situation in other directions is as follows:

In the Kupiansk direction, 10 settlements in the Kharkiv region and 1 in the Luhansk region came under Russian fire.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces launched unsuccessful offensives in the area south of Bilohorivka and Spirne over the last day. They shelled 3 settlements in the Luhansk region and 3 more in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops attack Bakhmut, trying to take full control of the city; fierce fighting continues. During the day, they launched unsuccessful offensives near Bohdanivka. Ukrainian defense forces repelled about 20 attacks in the area. Eighteen settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from shelling.

In Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russian forces attacked 4 settlements, but were unsuccessful. The fiercest fighting is taking place near Marinka, where over 15 Russian attacks were repelled. At the same time, 12 settlements in the Donetsk region came under fire. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces did not launch any offensives over the last day. They fired at 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled settlements near the frontline. Among them are 2 settlements in the Donetsk region, 8 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 8 more in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhia region are trying to build a new defense system by digging large trenches and installing "dragon's teeth."
