About half a million Ukrainian refugees have mental health problems - WHO
According to WHO, almost half a million Ukrainian refugees suffer from mental disorders
The World Health Organization reports this to SkyNews.
According to WHO, about 500,000 Ukrainian refugees arriving in Poland suffer from mental health problems.
The statistics also show that 30,000 arrivals in the neighboring country have mental health problems that fall into the "severe" category.
Many of these people need psychological support as a result of trauma.
Earlier, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) reported that the number of Ukrainians fleeing abroad exceeded 3.5 million.
More than two million people crossed the border into Poland, according to the agency. Others went to Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Moldova.
Hundreds of thousands more traveled further into continental Europe.
It is estimated that millions of refugees have been displaced inside Ukraine since the outbreak of the war on 24 February.
