About 700 Azov citizens remain in captivity - wife of captured Azov fighter
Liliya Stupina, the wife of an Azov fighter who is still in captivity, noted that the Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal will work until the last Azov citizen returns from captivity.
She told about it on Espreso.
"We are waiting for the return of our relatives. As far as we know, about 700 Azov citizens are still in captivity, so our struggle continues. The association of families of the defenders of Azovstal will work until the last Azov citizen returns from captivity," the Azov fighter’s wife emphasized
Lilia Stupina explained that the association's activities are aimed at holding promotions and informative events, and at working with all possible mass media, they also write letters to world leaders and representatives of international organizations, but the inefficiency of such organizations is already known.
"We had the opportunity to talk with some guys who returned from captivity, and they confirm the inaction of the Red Cross. But I am more than sure that the Red Cross can influence this process and maintains ties with Russia, because many people saw as Peter Maurer, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, hugged in a photo with Lavrov. Why the Red Cross is not doing anything is another matter. The only option we have is to put pressure on this international organization. But the representatives of the Red Cross do not want to get in touch with us, they don't want to communicate with us, but families of prisoners who call the organization are advised to pray," Stupina commented.
