According to Milley, Wagner PMC fighters are now fighting primarily in Bakhmut. There are about 6,000 mercenaries and another 20,000 or 30,000 recruits, many of whom come from prisons.
The general of the US army emphasizes that Wagner is suffering “an enormous amount of casualties in the Bakhmut area; the Ukrainians are inflicting a lot of death and destruction on these guys," he said.
Milley is also concerned about the rapprochement of China, Iran and Russia.
According to him, it is not a real complete alliance but we see Russia and China getting closer, and it is concerning. If we consider Iran, these three countries together might cause many issues in the future, especially Russia and China because of their capabilities, he believes.
On March 24, Milley said that Iran would only need a few months to develop its own nuclear weapons.
