About 6,000 Wagner mercenaries fight in Bakhmut, Donetsk region — General Milley

On March 29, Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman General Mark Milley said that about 6,000 Wagner PMC mercenaries are fighting in Bakhmut

This is reported by CNN with reference to US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley’s report.

According to Milley, Wagner PMC fighters are now fighting primarily in Bakhmut. There are about 6,000 mercenaries and another 20,000 or 30,000 recruits, many of whom come from prisons.

The general of the US army emphasizes that Wagner is suffering “an enormous amount of casualties in the Bakhmut area; the Ukrainians are inflicting a lot of death and destruction on these guys," he said.

Milley is also concerned about the rapprochement of China, Iran and Russia.

According to him, it is not a real complete alliance but we see Russia and China getting closer, and it is concerning. If we consider Iran, these three countries together might cause many issues in the future, especially Russia and China because of their capabilities, he believes.
