The Guardian reported the information citing Vadym Skibitsky, Ukraine’s deputy military intelligence chief.
The publication reported that Russian troops moved out of the region first the civilians, then the military who weren’t involved in active fighting, logistics and supplies.
Russian troops are retreating from the second line of defense to which they were pushed back by Ukrainian forces in early October, according to the Guardian. - On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Russian troops were withdrawing to the left bank of the Kherson region.
- The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented on the possible withdrawal of the Russian army from Kherson, noting that "Russia cannot be trusted."
- Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that Ukraine sees no signs that the Russians are leaving Kherson without a fight.
- Experts note that Russian troops no longer have positions in the Kherson region where they could set a trap for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
