About 2,000 children return to Bucha after city's liberation from Russian forces
As of June 1, up to 2,000 children have returned to Bucha in the Kyiv region, and the city has a program to help residents
Ukrainian Presidential Office Deputy Head Kyrylo Tymoshenko shared the update in his Telegram channel.
"I was in Bucha today. The city is hard to recognise. According to official figures, up to 2,000 children have returned here. We must make every effort to associate this city not with the horror of Russian soldiers, but with development, laughter and the future," he stressed.
The social UNICEF program Together has started in the city. It helps children and families and operates where social services have been discontinued or there are insufficient services, medical services, and psychological care for families with children affected by the war.
"Psychological assistance is provided here, there are educational activities for children's development, and individual educational kits are provided. This is what the newly opened center in Bucha looks like. They will work in other communities of the country, first of all in those most affected," said Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
