About 100 thousand hostages are in besieged Mariupol. Without food, water, medicines, in inhumane conditions - Zelensky
The President spoke about the situation in the blocked city, which is under constant shelling
Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about this in his evening appeal, Espreso.TV reports.
"As of today, there are about 100 thousand people in Mariupol. In inhuman conditions, in complete blockade. Without food, without water, without medicine. Under constant shelling. Under constant bombardment. For more than a week now, we have been trying to organize stable humanitarian corridors for the people of Mariupol". Almost all of our attempts, unfortunately, are frustrated by Russian invaders' shelling or deliberate terror", the president emphasized.
Zelensky said that today one of the humanitarian convoys was captured by the invaders:
"Employees of the State Emergency Service and bus drivers were captured. We are doing everything to fire our people and unblock the movement of humanitarian supplies".
