"A hard day of our offensive": Ukrainian director shows chilling frontline selfie
Ukrainian filmmaker and former Kremlin prisoner Oleh Sentsov, who is now defending Ukraine, speaks about a difficult day on the southern frontline
He shared the photo on Facebook.
Oleh Sentsov went to defend Ukraine in the first days of the full-scale invasion. Currently, the junior lieutenant is fighting as part of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian filmmaker, writer and activist commands a platoon.
Sentsov shared a selfie in front of damaged equipment. His company is currently in the middle of active fighting.

"It was another hard day of our offensive. We took the line assigned to our company, although we suffered losses. Our vehicle was hit, but the crew and I managed to get out," he said.
He emphasized that the war for Ukraine continues.
"Eternal glory to those who died liberating Ukraine from the invaders!" he added.
According to activist Serhiy Sternenko, yesterday they handed over 4 more Mavic 3 FMC drones worth UAH 376 thousand to Sentsov for the 47th Brigade. These drones were purchased thanks to donations from Sternenko's followers.

The 47th Separate Mechanized Magura Brigade was formed from civilian volunteers who were interviewed and trained, as well as soldiers who transferred from other military units after an interview. Many famous Ukrainians are defending Ukraine as part of the brigade. Besides Oleh Sentsov, there are poet and translator Pavlo Matyusha, musician and leader of the bands Tartak and Buvie Oleksandr Polozhynskyi, Reva brothers, and Valeriy Markus.
