Russian attacks on Ukraine

Border villages are suffering from Russian shelling, including one village in Chernihiv region and 13 villages in Sumy region.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched an airstrike on the Slatyne area.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near Stepova Novoselyvka four times, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army launched nine attacks near Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, and towards Cherneshchyna, Torske. Three clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian attempts to advance towards Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops launched eight attacks near Dachne, Diliivka, Toretsk, and towards Yablunivka. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces launched 25 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Horikhove, and towards Myrnove, Mykolaivka, Novoserhiivka, Oleksiivka. The Ukrainian defense forces have repelled 24 attacks, with one ongoing battle.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks near Bahatyr, Odradne, Rivnopil, Vilne Pole, and towards Zaporizhzhia, Voskresenka, and Shevchenko. One battle continues. An airstrike targeted the settlement of Olhivske.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Ukrainian defense forces successfully stopped two attempts by Russian troops to advance near Malynivka, with one ongoing battle. Russian troops also carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole, Malynivka, and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders halted two Russian assaults as Russian troops attempted to advance towards Novoandriivka and Pavlivka.

In the Dnipropetrovsk direction, Russian troops made two attempts to advance, both of which failed.

In the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian defense forces repelled 11 Russian attacks. Since the start of the day, Russian forces have carried out 15 airstrikes, dropping 28 guided bombs on Ukrainian positions and settlements, in addition to 106 artillery shellings.

In other areas of the front, there have been no significant changes.

• On the previous day, June 7, 193 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 65 Russian offensive actions.
