Ukraine's Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets posted this on Facebook.

According to him, as of the morning of June 10, 62% of its volume, or 12.24 cubic kilometers of water, has leaked out of the Kakhovka reservoir. The water level in the reservoir is already 10.55 meters. It continues to decline.

In addition, the minister emphasized that the estimated amount of environmental damage caused by Russia's explosion of the Kakhovka HPP is already over UAH 55 billion.

“The situation in national parks is critical. 30% of the nature reserve fund of the Kherson region is under threat of extinction,” he emphasized.

In the photo, Ukraine's Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources reports that the estimated amount of environmental damage caused by Russia's blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP dam is over UAH 55 billion.

Water from the Kakhovka reservoir has leveled the Nizhniodniprovskyi National Park. The water in the Velykyi Luh National Park continues to shrink by 4.2 meters and the Kamianska Sich National Park by 6 meters. The Oleshky Sands, temporarily seized by the Russian forces, are threatened by rising groundwater.

About 1200 hectares of the Kinburn Peninsula have already been flooded due to the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

“Environmental inspectors, national parks workers, water workers and foresters continue to record evidence of the Russian forces' crimes at the site of the environmental disaster. I invite everyone who has witnessed crimes against the environment to help our specialists and report them to the web resource and mobile application of the Ministry of Environment - EkoZagroza. All the collected data will be used to recover all the damages caused to Ukraine from the Russian Federation,” he added.
