45 combat clashes take place on frontline in one day — General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

Over the day, there were wounded and dead among the civilian population. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, continue shelling populated areas from the territory of Russia, and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Three villages in the Sumy region were subjected to Russian artillery and mortar shelling.

• In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region. Five villages in the Kharkiv region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In Lyman direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, they continued to regroup their troops. At the same time, 4 settlements suffered from Russian artillery and mortar shelling.
• In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 4 attacks near 2 settlements in the Donetsk region. Russian troops also tried to regain the lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks. About 15 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 attacks. Over 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and another settlement in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled 13 attacks. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In Shakhtarsk direction, Russia maintains military presence and is regrouping its forces. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, and continued to regroup. Over 20 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Kherson direction, Russian troops conducted air strikes near 5 settlements in the Kherson region. Another 3 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, and exhausting them along the entire front line.

Ukrainian aviation strikes a concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment

Ukrainian military aviation launched another strike against a Russian air defense system. 

Meanwhile, Ukrainian missile units hit a concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment and an artillery unit of the Russian army.
