40,000 people left without electricity and food in eastern Ukraine due to Russian aggression - Monastyrsky
In Ukraine, against the backdrop of Russian aggression, about 40 thousand people were left without electricity and food in eastern Ukraine alone - the enemy does not allow the local people to be evacuated.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky announced this, according to Ukrinform, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports in a Telegram.
The minister stressed that the issue of evacuating people from the settlements of Volnovakha, Sartana, Talakivka, where active hostilities continue, is especially acute.
Today Ukraine has applied all possible international instruments. "But the Russian side did not give an answer to the evacuation of the population", he said.
It is noted that now the situation is also critical in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region.
“The government has already set up a coordinating center to provide food, water, medicines, and fuel. Now the logistics are being built for the transfer of humanitarian cargo to the cities most in need”, the minister said.
As Ukrinform reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of an invasion of Ukraine. Martial law has been introduced. The head of the Ukrainian state Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
