36 combat engagements take place in frontline per day, Ukrainian aviation launches 7 strikes on Russian military positions – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

The Ukrainian military destroyed 2 reconnaissance UAVs of the operational and tactical level.

In addition, missile and artillery units struck 2 control points, a munitions depot, 8 artillery pieces at firing positions, 2 air defense systems, as well as 2 enemy electronic warfare stations during the day.

Invading Russian forces are attacking in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. There were 36 combat engagements over the last day.

Russia launched 53 airstrikes and about 60 MLRS attacks against Ukraine over the day

Occupying Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with Iranian Shahed drones. 12 out of 18 of these UAVs were destroyed. In addition, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of one of Zaporizhzhia's infrastructure facilities.

Over the past day, Russia launched 53 airstrikes and about 60 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, infrastructure was destroyed and civilians were injured.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the border line with mortars and artillery: over 15 settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk direction, 6 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, over 20 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, over 15 settlements of the Donetsk region came under fire. 

In the Marinka direction, 3 settlements of the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 15 localities in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 30 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

• On July 7, the General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were advancing on the flanks of Bakhmut and grinding the enemy in the south - the ratio of losses in the Russian army was more than five times higher.
