30 Russian attacks on Chernihiv and Sumy regions recorded since beginning of 2023

Andriy Demchenko commented on the situation in the regions on the northern border of Ukraine.

"The enemy does not stop its terrorist actions in the border areas of northern Ukraine. Every day the enemy conducts shelling, hits civilian houses. The biggest attacks have been recorded in the Sumy region lately. I note that in December 2022 alone, there were more than 200 attacks on the territories of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The enemy uses artillery, mortars, small arms, and there are also frequent cases of airstrikes. Since the beginning of January 2023, 30 attacks have been recorded in Chernihiv and Sumy regions," the SBGS spokesman said.

Demchenko noted that Russia has not stopped terrorist actions against Ukraine since it was pushed beyond the Ukraine border.
