Russia launches deadly missile attack on Ukrainian soldiers: brigade reports 19 killed
Following a Russian missile strike on November 3, 19 soldiers from the 128th separate mountain assault brigade stationed in the Zaporizhzhia region were tragically killed
This was reported on the brigade's Facebook page.
"The missile attack of the insidious enemy claimed the lives of 19 soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of Transcarpathia. Now we are thoroughly checking all the circumstances of the tragedy, and we ask you not to spread unverified, often fake information until it is over. Our best fighters were killed... We express our sincere condolences to their families and promise to avenge our comrades 100-fold. Eternal memory to the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine!" the statement reads.
Previously, Ukrainian MPs Mykhailo Volynets and Oleksiy Kucherenko reported the information, according to Espreso.
"28 dead. 53 wounded. 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade. Unfortunately, information about the death of our soldiers from a Russian missile has been confirmed," Mykhailo Volynets wrote on his Facebook page.
MP Kucherenko published the same information.
"28 killed, 53 wounded, 128th Brigade. Grief," he said.
Furthermore, a video depicting an attack on the 128th separate mountain assault brigade in Zaporizhzhia region was shared on social media, as reported by military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko on Telegram.
“Ruscists released a video of the awarding ceremony for officers of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. Later, a Russian Iskander missile struck there. At least 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed. An investigation has been launched in Ukraine. A three-day mourning period was declared in the Transcarpathian region,” the post said.
Journalist Denys Kazanskyi commented on the video of the attack on the 128th Brigade.
"As you can see, none of the locals guided the enemy missile, the occupiers saw the military gather in one place and recorded it from a UAV. Holding such line-ups and open meetings near the front line is criminal negligence that costs people their lives. I hope that one such terrible lesson will be enough to prevent anything like this from ever happening again," he emphasized.
