The president said this in his evening address.
“Today I sent a letter to President Macron on this very issue and in continuation of our conversation with him that took place on January 24,” Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that Ukraine, while preparing for the Olympics, must be sure that Russia will not be able to use it or any other international sporting event to propagandize aggression or its state chauvinism.
At the same time, the president reminded him that in the first half of the twentieth century, Europe made many mistakes that led to very terrible tragedies, including the 'Olympic mistake'.
“The Olympic movement and terrorist states should definitely not intersect,” he emphasized.
