Zelenskyy reveals when he expects Ukraine to join EU and NATO

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he expects Ukraine’s accession to the EU in 2 years and to NATO after winning the war with Russia

President Zelenskyy shared his opinions during an investment summit organized by JP Morgan, the President's Office reports.

"Today, there are certain pessimists among world leaders who believe that Ukraine needs 10 years to become an EU member. But most of them know us and sometimes even fear our spirit, our energy. That's why we see that we can join the EU in 2 years. And we need security guarantees," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that the best guarantee would be Ukraine's membership in NATO.

"We believe that we will join NATO before all the leaders decide that our security guarantee package is reasonable. Because they make decisions slowly, it's bureaucracy. And I believe that we will become a NATO member following our victory," Zelenskyy stated.
