He reported this on Telegram.

“I spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron. I shared with him our Ukrainian perspective on yesterday’s conversation with President Trump and colleagues in Europe. Emmanuel informed me about his contacts with leaders—those that had already taken place in the morning and those planned for later in the day,” Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that they share the same view on the need for a common European approach to key security issues for Europe.

“A great deal depends—both now and in the future—on the prudence and effectiveness of every step we, Europe, and America take... So, the near future will show what the consequences will be if Russia continues to prolong the war and undermine constructive efforts,” Zelenskyy stated.

At the same time, he spoke with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

“We coordinated our positions with Germany. We agreed to have another conversation with Friedrich. Today, security advisors will hold an online meeting to align our common views—Ukraine, all of Europe, and the United States. Yesterday, we also discussed various potential formats for upcoming peace meetings at the leaders’ level: two bilateral formats and one trilateral. Ukraine is not afraid of meetings and expects the same bold approach from the Russian side,” the Ukrainian leader reported.

Later, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also reported on her dialogue with Zelenskyy: they discussed steps toward reaching a peace agreement.

“I have spoken with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the developments of the last days. We discussed the next steps on the way towards a negotiated peace agreement and Ukraine’s future membership in the European Union as well as its reconstruction. Europe’s position is clear. We fully support Ukraine. We will continue to play an active role to guarantee a just and lasting peace,” she wrote on X.

In the morning, Zelenskyy announced a series of talks with partners on the peace process, according to his Telegram channel.

“Today is a day of numerous calls and contacts aimed at making real progress on the path to peace and ensuring Ukraine’s independence under any circumstances,” Zelenskyy wrote.

He stressed the importance of discussing key details with partners and outlined the priorities.

"It is important to go over the key details. The priorities are absolutely clear. First – an end to the killing, and it is Russia that must agree to a ceasefire. Second – a format for leaders, so that such a meeting can lead to a truly lasting peace. We in Ukraine have repeatedly said that finding real solutions can be truly effective at the level of leaders. It is necessary to determine the timing for such a format and the range of issues to be addressed. Third – long-term security. This is possible together with the United States and Europe," Zelenskyy wrote.

The president added that earlier, following the joint conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders, he spoke separately with NATO Secretary General Rutte and Finnish President Stubb.

He emphasized that Ukraine never wanted war and would work as productively as possible for peace. However, the main thing is that Russia, which started this war, really takes steps to end the aggression.

The world has leverage over the aggressor and the means to verify whether promises are being kept. I’m grateful to everyone who is firmly committed to bringing this war to a dignified end,” he noted.
