Zelenskyy open to “digestible compromise” along current frontline — media
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to compromise for a peaceful settlement along the current front line
The Financial Times reported the information, citing a Ukrainian official.
According to the official, the goal of the Ukrainian president at the Washington meeting will be to establish a “productive peace resolution process without having Ukraine pressed to execute impossible steps, like withdrawing forces” from Donetsk and Luhansk.
The source emphasized that for this, Zelenskyy is ready to compromise on reaching a settlement along the current front line that Ukrainians could accept.
Today in the U.S. capital, a meeting is scheduled between Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European leaders.
“They will aim to build on some positive signs that have emerged since Friday’s brief Putin-Trump summit, especially around US willingness to guarantee Ukraine’s security after the war,” the outlet writes.
