Zelenskyy on anniversary of drama theater attack in Mariupol: We will not forgive occupiers for any ruined life
One year ago, Russian invaders attacked the Drama Theater in Mariupol, where civilians were hiding from the bombing. According to Zelenskyy, "we are moving towards ensuring full accountability of the terrorist state"
This is stated in the address of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“A year ago, Russia deliberately and brutally dropped a powerful bomb on the Drama Theater in Mariupol downtown. Next to the building was the inscription "Children", which was impossible to overlook. Hundreds of people were hiding from the shelling there.
Step by step, we are moving towards ensuring that the terrorist state is fully held to account for what it has done to our country and our people.
We will not forgive a single life ruined by the occupiers.
We remember all those whose lives were taken by Russian terror,” the president emphasized.
On March 16, 2022, the Russians dropped a powerful bomb on the Mariupol Drama Theater, with 1000 people in the bomb shelter.
The Russian occupation authorities decided to demolish the back and central parts of the drama theater in Mariupol, but the front part will be left "as the basis for reconstruction."
