Ihor Zhovkva, deputy head of the President’s Office, informed Kyodo about this.
He stated that President Zelenskyy "will definitely take part in the G7 summit in Hiroshima on May 19th, although we’re still not sure about the format."
According to Zhovkva, the president will make a final decision regarding the possibility of a visit to Japan depending on the military situation.
Earlier in Japan it was stated that supporting Ukraine will be one of the priority issues on the G7 summit agenda, which will begin on May 19.
Japan will also seek to issue a final document on nuclear disarmament at the G7 summit.
