Zelenskyy meets with US Senate delegation
On Wednesday, April 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the US Senators Joseph Manchin, Lisa Murkowski, and Mark Kelly

Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to the United States for their bicameral and bipartisan support, including the personal support of President Biden and all Americans, which helped Ukraine survive the war initiated by Russia.
During the meeting, the President briefed the Senate delegation on the current situation on the front line and provided his assessment of its potential development. In this context, the meeting participants thoroughly discussed the future direction of American assistance and the role of the US Congress in this process.
Zelenskyy emphasized the need for robust defense support for Ukraine, without any limitations on the provision of military equipment and weapons. He stated that the fight for freedom and democracy is a shared value, and a decisive victory in this struggle would have far-reaching implications for the situation in Europe and around the world. The President underscored the significance of continued comprehensive support, including financial and defense assistance, as the key to defeating the aggressor.
Moreover, Ukraine affirmed its commitment to ensuring that all funds and weapons provided by the United States are utilized with the appropriate oversight, and they remain open to full cooperation with partners in this regard.

Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal arrived in Washington to meet with officials of the US and global financial institutions. Shmyhal met with US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, calling to provide longer-range missiles for Ukraine.
