Zelenskyy meets with presidents of Uruguay, Paraguay and Ecuador in Argentina
During his official visit to Argentina, the Ukrainian president held talks with the leaders of Uruguay, Paraguay and Ecuador
The meetings took place on Sunday, December 10, 2023, his press service reports.
"I thank President Santiago Peña for his strong support for Ukraine within international organizations. We discussed ways to develop trade between Ukraine and Paraguay," Zelenskyy said.
In turn, during his talks with Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou, the Ukrainian leader thanked him for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"Particular attention was paid to the prospect of holding a Ukraine-Latin America summit," Zelenskyy added.
At the same time, the Ukrainian President and Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa discussed the possibilities of developing broad bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Ecuador: in the security sector, digitalization, and agricultural trade.
"He offered to join the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"It is very important for us to have the support and powerful united voice of Latin American countries that support Ukrainian people in the war for our freedom and democracy," he emphasized.
All the meetings took place in Buenos Aires, where Zelenskyy arrived to attend the inauguration of the newly elected Argentine President Javier Milei.
