Zelenskyy makes 352 official international phone calls since start of full-scale invasion
Since February 24, 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held 352 official international telephone conversations with heads of other states and international organizations
Serhiy Nikiforov, press secretary to the President of Ukraine, reports.
Zelenskyy had first phone conversation since the start of the full-scale invasion with US President Joe Biden.
"First conversations on February 24 (chronologically) are with Joseph Biden, Olaf Scholz, Boris Johnson, Karl Nehammer, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Magdalena Andersson, Charles Michel and Emmanuel Macron," the report says.
The last conversation as of December 29, 2022 was with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. It took place on December 27.
Also, the President of Ukraine communicated or spoke online 186 times. It happened for the first time on March 1 at a session of the European Parliament. The last time was December 28: on this day, he spoke with CEO of the BlackRock investment company, Larry Fink.
According to the statistics of the Presidential Protocol Service, Zelenskyy also met 110 times with representatives of states, companies, organizations, or private individuals. First of these meetings took place on March 15 with Mateusz Morawiecki, Janez Janša and Peter Fiala - prime ministers of Poland, Slovenia and Czech Republic. As of December 29, the last meeting took place on December 28 with French Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu.
In addition, Zelenskyy took part in internal events of Ukraine 173 times. He also held 44 meetings of the Staff of Commander-in-chief.
"Statistics include only official calls and events. We do not plan weekends, so it will change by New Year," Nikiforov emphasized.
