Earlier, the Financial Times reported that the EU is preparing to host Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Brussels summit on February 9.
The publication noted that the President of Ukraine will speak at a special session of the European Parliament. This will be his second visit outside Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Zelenskyy’s only foreign visit after Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022 was a trip to Washington in December, where he held talks with US President Joe Biden and spoke at a joint session of the houses of Congress.
The FT notes that Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the EU summit is still under question due to security concerns.
"Frankly speaking, it is very risky for me to travel. It's true," Zelenskyy said on February 3 answering a question about a possible visit to Brussels.
