Zelenskyy holds phone talks with Trudeau
On May 1, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had phone talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the leaders agreed on common views ahead of the NATO summit

In addition, Trudeau and Zelenskyy discussed long-term defense cooperation and the confiscation of Russian assets.
“I had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. We discussed the program of long-term defense cooperation. I noted the beginning of the confiscation of Russian assets and called for increased sanction pressure on Russia. We agreed on common views ahead of the NATO summit and other international events,” the statement says.
Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, after a conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, announced further support for Ukraine.
